Phil Arena

My primary interests are international conflict and the links between domestic and international politics. Methodologically, I am interested in formal theory, causal inference, and empirical implications of theoretical models.

Before coming to the University of Essex, I spent a year at the Rochester and six at Buffalo. I received my Ph.D. from Penn State in 2008.
