My research focuses on criminal justice and democratic theory. Specifically, I am interested in the following questions:

1) why is disobedience of the law wrong?
2) why does the state punish law-breakers?
3) should voting rights be distributed unequally among citizens, in the interest of justice?
4) should prisons be abolished?
