Pon Souvannaseng

Research Associate, Centre for Crisis Studies & Mitigation, University of Manchester

Pon researches the intersection of environment, governance, infrastructure and international finance. She is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Crisis Studies & Mitigation at the University of Manchester. She has conducted Fulbright-funded research in Mekong Southeast Asia and UKRI-supported research in Myanmar and Ghana. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics. She previously served as a Research Analyst at the UN Research Institute for Social Development and Fellow in Political Economy & International Development at UCL. She is a 2020 Mansfield-Luce Asia Policy Scholar and a Visiting Fellow of the East West Center Washington DC & Tama University Centre for Rule-Making Strategy in Tokyo.
