Professor of European Studies, Université de Liège

Quentin Michel is a professor at the University of Liège’s Faculty of Law and political Science. He directs the European Studies Unit. His research areas turn around three main axes. First of all the analysis of the policies carried out by the different components of the European Union, in particular decision making processes. There follows the policies of sustainable development, notably the way in which they are integrated into other policies. And finally the policies of so called sensitive trade regulation policies (weapons and associated items) and nuclear policies, notably in terms of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons aspects. He also acts as an expert for the Walloon government in the principal European and international trade regulation bodies.
