Rebecca Windemer

Lecturer in Environmental planning, Cardiff University

I am a lecturer in environmental planning and a chartered town planner. My existing research has focused on the regulation of renewable energy infrastructure.
My recent work has focused on the use of time-limited planning consents for the regulation of onshore wind and solar farms and how decisions are made regarding the future of this infrastructure (repowering, life-extension and decommissioning). My research won the EnergySHIFTS ECR award for innovative research findings and the ESRC Celebrating Impact Prize for 'Outstanding Early Career Impact'.
