NERC Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Sheffield

NERC-funded Post-doctoral Research Associate. My principal research interest is in conflict resolution: How do animals decide whether to cooperate or to defect towards their social partners? I address this question using field-based observations and experiments testing specific evolutionary hypotheses.

I am currently based at the University of Sheffield, working with Ben Hatchwell on the question how sociable weavers, Philetairus socius, avert the tragedy of the commons.
