Richard Foltz is a cultural historian specializing in Iranian peoples and their influence from the Balkans to India and China. His most recent books are The Ossetes: Modern-Day Scythians of the Caucasus (Bloomsbury, 2021) and A History of the Tajiks: Iranians of the East (Bloomsbury, 2019).
