Robert E. May

I am the author of five books and the coauthor of a sixth. I have also edited a book, published articles in leading historical journals, and lectured abroad. Several of my publications have won awards and other recognitions. My expertise is on diverse subjects including the causes of the Civil War, the U.S.-Mexican War, U.S. diplomacy in the mid-nineteenth century, and U.S. territorial expansionism.
