Robert John Balfour

Professor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Teaching Learning, North-West University

Robert Balfour is an applied linguist and literary scholar who was awarded a PhD in Cambridge in 2000 and who has worked in education since then. He publishes frequently on language policy, post- coloniality and education issues in South Africa. Balfour is also an exhibited painter and creative writer.
