Stavins is the A.J. Meyer Professor of Energy and Economic Development at the Harvard Kennedy School, a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a University Fellow of Resources for the Future. He served as chairman of the EPA’s Environmental Economics Advisory Board under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and served as a Lead Author in three rounds of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
He was elected a Fellow of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists in 2009, and was named the 2016 recipient of the Edmund G. Pat Brown Award.
