Professor of Economics, University of Technology Sydney

Professor Slonim moved to Sydney in 2008. He holds a PhD from Duke University and MBA and BA degrees from the University of California Berkeley. Professor Slonim is a pioneer in the fields of behavioural and experimental economics. His has published in leading economics, management and science journals and his work has received funding many agencies including multiple large ARC and NSF grants. Professor Slonim helped establish and was the first co-editors of the Journal of the Economic Science Association. He has served at the Research Director for the Behavioural Economics Team of Australia (BETA) and continues to serve as the Chair for BETA's Academic Advisory Panel. He has previously worked with the University of Sydney and provided assistance to several branches of the Federal Government (including an Independent report for DAWR) and State Governments. He is currently Professor at UTS School of Business in the Economics Group.
