Roberta Anderson

Senior Lecturer in History, Bath Spa University

Having gained my BA from Bath College of Higher Education I returned BSUC in 1993 as a part-time lecturer whilst completing my PhD on the foreign ambassadors to the court of James VI and I.

I am interested in the interaction of politics and diplomacy, religion, culture, and society in the medieval and early modern period, and am the author of several books and papers on early modern England and the Medieval world.

In 2007 I won the Higher Education Academy National Award for the Teaching of History in Higher Education and in 2009, I was awarded a Bath Spa Teaching Fellowship in recognition of my work in curriculum development, pedagogical research and in the promotion of excellence in teaching.
