Ron Beadle is a Professor of Organization and Business Ethics at Northumbria University in the UK. His research focuses on the role of the virtues in organizations and his most recent (2019) publications in the ‘Journal of Business Ethics’, the ‘Journal of Institutional Economics’ and the ‘Oxford Handbook of Meaningful Work’ have applied Aristotle’s ideas on moral agency in contemporary contexts.

Ron regularly lectures internationally, giving invited lectures in Budapest and Kuala Lumpur in the summer of 2019. The main focus of his empirical work is the travelling circus. He convenes the Circus Research Network (Britain and Ireland) and is a Visiting Professor at the National Centre for Circus Arts (UK).

Beyond his academic work, Ron has been a local Councillor in Gateshead since 1996 and is a regular columnist for 'The Journal' newspaper serving North East England.
