Rosa Binimelis

Doctor of Environmental Sciences (Ecological Economics) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat de Vic - Central University of Catalonia, and collaborates with GenØk-Centre for Biosafety in Tromso, Norway.

Rosa Binimelis has worked on environmental conflicts related to agriculture (coexistence between genetically modified crops and conventional and organic farming) and food. Currently he is working on the socio-economic and ethical aspects of GMOs. It also makes research and active in areas such as food sovereignty, short marketing circuits or women and rural areas.
