Rosemary V. Hathaway

Associate Professor of English, West Virginia University

My PhD is in English, and I'm a folklorist by training. After graduation, I worked at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley for about ten years before coming to West Virginia University in 2007. I regularly teach folklore classes at the undergraduate and graduate level, and also teach young-adult literature and work with our English-education majors and local teachers. My book, _Mountaineers Are Always Free: Heritage, Dissent, and a West Virginia Icon_, will be published by West Virginia University Press in February 2020.
