Roxana is a senior lecturer in Criminology at the University of Brighton, author of the book: 'A Southern Criminology of Violence, Youth and Policing' (Routledge).
Her research focuses on understanding power, resistance, violence, feminism, criminology, policing and insecurity. Her previous work has examined the politics of crime control, justice and human rights, critical theory, theorising interlocking social inequalities relating to class, gender, race and ethnicity in the context of Brazil.
