Reader/Associate Professor, School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, Queen's University Belfast

My general research interests are in physical activity and public health, particularly regarding the development and evaluation of complex interventions for behaviour change at the individual, community and population level. My research involves investigating the role of the built environment and social environment for health and wellbeing benefits. Current research projects include evaluating the public health impact of a large urban regeneration project (Connswater Community Greenway) and investigating the effectiveness of a novel physical activity loyalty scheme to encourage people to get outside and be more active in their local environment. Most recently I have been awarded a Career Development Fellowship from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
