Senior Visiting Fellow in Political Science, London School of Economics and Political Science

Professor Saad Jawad joined the Middle East Centre as a Senior Visiting Fellow in December 2010. He is a prominent Iraqi political scientist who taught at the University of Baghdad for more than 30 years. His interests include Iraqi Kurds, the war in Iraq and its effect on the Middle East and the regional influence of Iraq's neighbours. Dr Jawad is currently working on an MEC Research Paper examining the Iraqi constitution, due to be published in November 2013.

He is the author, most recently, of chapters in The Decision Making in the Arab Regimes (Nevine Mos'ad (ed.), Centre for Arab Unity Studies, July 2010) and Towards a Historical Democratic Front in the Arab Countries (Ali K. Alkawari and A. Madi, (eds.) Centre for Arab Unity Studies, March 2010).
