I am generally interested in the social uses of technology. Specifically, I am interested in the positive uses of technology such as its effect on wellbeing.

I am currently beginning a project into the effect of positive online comments and how this can improve wellbeing. Specifically, this project aims to examine how these comments can improve wellbeing once someone has been ostracised.

A second project I am currently starting is one on designing a robust tool to measure Facebook use. With this tool, I aim to see how people with differing levels of wellbeing use Facebook and which aspects they are more likely to use.
