I am Associate Professor of Research at the University of Hertfordshire and the Convenor of the Open Graves, Open Minds Project hosted at www.opengravesopenminds.com. I am active on social media @DrSamGeorge1

I have published widely in literature and science and the gothic (particularly in the field of vampire and werewolf studies). My latest edited collection 'In the Company of Wolves' was published in 2019, alongside a special edition of Gothic Studies I have co-edited on Werewolves and Wilderness. I am currently completing a monograph on the cultural history of the shadow and a book on gothic fairies for Bloomsbury.
