Associate Professor, Dalhousie University

Dr Sara L Seck is an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, where she is a member of the Marine and Environmental Law Institute. She joined Dalhousie in July 2017 after 10 years on faculty at an Ontario law school. She was a founding member of the editorial board of the Business and Human Rights Journal, and a member of the International Law Association's Study Group on Business and Human Rights. Among recent research contributions, she is co-editor of Global Environmental Change and Innovation in International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2017), and co-editor of a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law on Resource Extraction and the Human Rights of Women and Girls. In 2015, she received the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law's Emerging Scholarship award in recognition of her research contributions on international environmental law and global mining.
