Lecturer, Ulster University

Particulars
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Dundee in 2015. I then pursued a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at Queen's University Belfast, graduating in 2019. In 2019 I was appointed the Research Fellow on the Leverhulme-funded project entitled, "The Nature and Function of Relief" under the supervision of Professor Aidan Feeney (PI), Professor Teresa McCormack, Professor Sarah Beck, and Professor Christoph Hoerl. Since August 2023, I am a lecturer in cognitive psychology at Ulster University.

Research Interests
I am interested in various aspects of human cognition, and their development throughout childhood and into adulthood. My doctoral project explored time and causality in cognitive development with a specific focus on how our perception of time is influenced and altered by our beliefs about cause and effect, and agency. I am also interested in the study of complex, cognitive emotions such as relief and regret.
