Senior Researcher, Unit for Religion and Development Research, Stellenbosch University

Dr. Selina Palm holds a PhD in Theology and Development from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and Masters degrees in both systematic theology and human rights. She has seventeen years of senior projects experience with NGOs and faith-based institutions across African, Asian and European contexts. She is a specialist on faith, development and violence and on working with vulnerable children. She carries out consultancy-based research for faith institutions, NGOs and governments at local, national and international levels. She is also a lay-leader at Rondebosch United Church in Cape Town, developing new pedagogies for social justice.
