My research focuses on the links between biodiversity and health, by investigating evolutionary ecology of host-parasite interactions and health ecology. Field parasitologist, I am concerned at the role of biodiversity as risks and insurance for zoonotic emerging infectious diseases, and the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance. Major achievements include the development of a research domain in Health Ecology, by linking environment, land use land cover changes, biodiversity and the evolutionary ecology and epidemiology of zoonotic diseases at the frontiers of human health, animal health and conservation biology (One Health/EcoHealth/Planetary Health) in Southeast Asia.
