Sharon Downes

Dr Sharon Downes is a Team Leader for CSIRO’s Ecosystem Science Division’s Resistance Evolution research team and works closely with cotton breeders in CSIRO’s Plant Industry Division. Her current activities focus on insecticide resistance management through projects that assess resistance frequencies in populations, and also address gaps in knowledge on toxin performance, insect behaviour, and characteristics of resistance.
