Sharon is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Cardiff University, researching divorce, prenuptial agreements and feminist legal history.
She is the author of the book 'Prenuptial Agreements and the Presumption of Free Choice: Issues of Power in Theory and Practice' (Hart Publishing, 2015), which was shortlisted for the Peter Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship in 2017 and both the SLSA Hart Socio-Legal Book Prize and the SLSA Socio-Legal prize for Early Career Academics in 2016. The book adopts a critical perspective on prenuptial agreements and examines the results of a study on expert attorneys' views and experiences of such agreements in New York. Sharon has been interviewed on the subject of prenuptial agreements on TV and radio, (BBC News and BBC Radio Stoke). She has also been interviewed by Lexis Nexis. In 2014 she was a Visiting Fellow at City University Hong Kong.
