Sripad is a Doctoral Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Dept., at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Prof. Venkat Viswanathan. His academic research focuses on modeling, simulation, and testing of Li-ion and Li-metal batteries for electrified mobility systems including urban electric aircraft, electric semi-trucks, and automated electric vehicles. His work has been featured in WIRED, Quartz, MIT Technology Review, Forbes, Reuters, Axios, Washington Post, and other media outlets where he also regularly critiques developments in the electric mobility and Li-ion battery space. His popular writings have been published in The Conversation, The Hindu, Quartz, and elsewhere.
