Post-doctoral researcher in linguistics, Lancaster University

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the ESRC funded Corpus Approaches to Social Science Centre (CASS), based at Lancaster University, UK. My background is in the disciplines of linguistics and psychology, and I specialize in establishing patterns in extremist online language, particularly in relation to counter-terrorism.

Previously, I have adopted similar methods to explore discourses of nationality in the Scottish Independence debate, and relations between the English and Scottish rebels in the 17th Century press.
