Simon Hanslmayr

My research is focused on the role of rhythmic brain activity, so-called brain oscillations for human cognition. Specifically I am interested in how brain oscillations mediate our ability to form and retrieve memories, or to attend to a particular aspect in our environment. In order to address these very complex questions I use an array of electrophysiological and imaging methods as well as brain stimulation techniques.
