Simon's passion is accelerating research impact.

Simon is an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Melbourne Business School, teaching into the BioDesign Innovation course for MBAs and Engineering Masters students.

He is also Program Director for the Translating Research at Melbourne (TRAM) program and is a trained Lean Launchpad™ Educator with a professional background in business development. He has worked with several early stage high growth biotechnology companies in Europe and the US and has over 8 years’ experience in research commercialisation, working for both the University of Queensland and the University of Melbourne.

Simon has also worked in management consulting and holds a BSc (Hons), from Monash University, a graduate certificate in applied finance, and a PhD in developmental genetics from The University of Queensland. He is also a graduate of the AICD's Company Director Course.
