Lecturer in International Relations, University of Glasgow

I hold a BA in History and Politics, an MA in International Law and Politics and a PhD in Politics all from the University of Hull. Having secured scholarships to pursue my graduate studies, I focused on International Politics and on issues of marginalisation and silence. To illustrate my arguments I researched the politics of Yemen and Cyprus in depth and I continue to engage in research on the history and politics of these two states. My current research is driven by an exploration of the concept of silence and its effects and especially focuses on the implications of the attempts of ameliorating silence in theory and practice.
