Stephanie Merrill

Research Scientist, Knowledge Mobilization, Global Insitute for Water Security, Global Water Futures Program, University of Saskatchewan

Stephanie is a Research Scientist specializing in knowledge mobilization for the Global Water Futures Program based at the University of Saskatchewan. Stephanie works on more than 40 pan-Canadian science projects to help ensure real-world research impact for safeguarding future water security in Canada under a changing environment.

Stephanie has an MSc. in Forestry and Environmental Management and a BSc. in Aquatic Ecology from the University of New Brunswick. She has extensive experience in knowledge mobilization especially as it relates to water policy, civic engagement and science communication. Her experiences have come from 15 years working alongside rural and urban watershed groups, Indigenous leaders, community organizations, academic scientists and government departments.
