Honorary Research Professor, The University of Melbourne

Stephen Knight, formerly teaching English at the universities of Sydney, Melbourne and Cardiff, is an honorary research professor at University of Melbourne. He has published widely on medieval and modern writers, with a special interest in non-canonical literature, as in his books on Robin Hood and crime fiction. Just published in America is Australian Crime Fiction: A 200-Year History, and he is now working on a book of essays on contemporary Australian phenomena entitled The University is Closed for Open Day.
