Steven currently works in a dual role with Burton Albion Football club (BAFC) and Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT). Steven is responsible for sports science provision for the performance development of first team squad members. This includes delivery of a provision of appropriate, physiology, and nutrition work as part of the teams Sport Science and Medicine Program. As Manager of Health and Wellbeing for BACT Steven manages a team of fourteen staff. Furthermore, the design and delivery, cost and quality of health and wellbeing services delivered by the non-for-profit charitable arm of BAFC. Steven has helped to develop and implement a range of community interventions across Burton and East Staffordshire. These interventions include Active Recovery for Cancer patients, Long COVID Rehabilitation and Recovery Program, Adult Weight Management, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Cardiac Rehabilitation. Additionally, programs to tackle loneliness and social isolation and the improvement of mental health and well-being. Steven has completed an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science, a post graduate degree in Education, a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Science, and a post graduate degree in Research. Previous roles include working in elite sport in combat sports, motor sport and football. Additionally, a lecturer, and and Advanced Practitioner.
