Dr Stuart Glover is senior lecturer in writing at the University of Queensland, where he has a research interest in literary institutions and cultural policy.

He was the founding Director of the Brisbane Writers Festival, founding Chair for the Queensland Literary Awards, Manager for Writing at Arts Queensland, Director of QPIX (the Queensland Screen Development Centre), founding Chair of Multi-Media Art Asia-Pacific, Chair of Q Music (the Queensland Music Industry Association), and Deputy Chair of the Queensland Writers Centre. He has been a member of many other committees and bodies including the Literature Board of the Australia Council, Queensland Theatre Company Board, the National Young Writers Festival Committee and the Committee of Island magazine. He edited "Hot Iron Corrugated Sky: 100 Years of Queensland Writing" (UQP 2002) with Robyn Sheahan-Bright. He writes for web-sites and little magazines.
