Instructor in the School of Education, Thompson Rivers University

My EdD degree is in Educational Leadership and I have a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology. Currently, I hold a tenure-track position in the School of Education at Thompson Rivers University. I teach in the BEd (Elementary), BEd (Secondary) STEM, and Master of Education programs and coordinate the practica for our BEd teacher candidates. My main areas of research focus are secondary school counselling and enhancing student engagement.
I am also the Mind the Gap coordinator. This is a program under the umbrella of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, which aims to match TRU faculty with teachers in our local school district to share knowledge in many areas like curriculum, assessment, and easing the transition from secondary to post-secondary school for students.
