Susan Williams is a Public Health Nutritionist and Senior Lecturer at Central Queensland University. She has extensive experience in project and information management and a long standing career in health care and academia. Susan commenced her research career in 2004 with her PhD that investigated school environments and adolescent health behaviours. Her current research projects investigate health communication in chronic disease prevention and nutrition behaviours in rural and regional communities. Her research is underpinned by translational research which aims to bridge the gap between research and practice in ‘real-world’ settings.

Susan has experience in developing and implementing preventive health and health promotion programs in schools and communities in regional Queensland and expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods. She is interested in using systems approaches to create healthy settings in communities.
