Sylvia Szabo, PhD, is a social scientist and sustainable development expert. She is currently a Visiting Academic at the University of Southampton, UK. Her research examines topics and themes related to sustainable development issues, with a specific focus on nutrition and food security, urbanisation and environment-human interactions. Dr Szabo worked, amongst others, at the University of Southampton and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. She was a consultant for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization and a participant in the EU-China Mangers Exchange and Training Programme.
