Director Mary Robinson Centre for Climate Justice, Glasgow Caledonian University

Professor Jafry founded the Mary Robinson Centre for Climate Justice at Glasgow Caledonian University and currently serves as its Director. She has extensive research and development experience on the social justice and equity aspects of climate change in the Global South and has worked across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia for over 20 years.

Her research interests include climate migration and conflict, gender and climate finance, poverty targeting and the psycho-social impacts of climate change. She is Editor of the Routledge Climate Justice Handbook and Editor in Chief of the Elsevier Climate Justice Handbook Series. She founded the World Forum on Climate Justice and acts as the Chair of the Forum. Professor Jafry established the globally unique MSc Climate Justice and supervises thesis to doctorate level. Professor Jafry is an experienced commissioning reviewer for research councils, government departments and aid organisations and is a sought after reviewer for major publishing houses.
