Tanya Chichekian

Assistant Professor, Department of Pedagogy, Université de Sherbrooke

Tanya Chichekian holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a specialization in the Learning Sciences from McGill University. As a postdoctoral fellow at UQAM she studied the role of passion in educational persistence. From 2001 to 2016, she was an academic advisor for the health sciences program at Dawson College and as of 2019, an assistant professor in the department of pedagogy at the University of Sherbrooke. Her research interests include academic persistence and performance, high-ability learners’ cognitive characteristics, passion as a motivator for academic success, as well as the motivational processes related to optimal functioning in an educational environment.
