Senior Research Fellow, University of New England

Tanya is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New England, a member of the Australian Centre for Agriculture and Law, and the Centre for Rural Criminology.

Prior to entering academia Tanya worked with rural and remote communities to develop and deliver quality natural resource management and environmental sustainability outcomes in both non-government and government roles.

While at UNE, Tanya has researched and lectured in natural resource policy, agricultural extension, community engagement and socio-legal methods. She has research links with Pennsylvania State University and the Kettering Foundation in the USA. Tanya is passionate about the role of authentic and honest communication, deliberative practices and community participation in the pursuit of environmental and social justice.
