Ted Edwards has studied Australian moths and butterflies at the Australian National Insect Collection for more than 40 years.
During this time he has published many papers and three books covering the classification and biology of Australian moths.
He has also collected widely and built the National Collection to the immensely valuable resource it is today.
In 2012 Ted was awarded an Order of Australia for his contributions to science. Although he retired from CSIRO in 2001 he is still constantly called upon for identifications and advice.
