I was a history teacher in a secondary school in Manchester for 19 years before moving into teacher education, first at the Institute of Education, University of London, and then from 1996, at the University of East Anglia, My research interests are in the history curriculum, behaviour in schools, and the use of new technology in history teaching and teacher education.
