Senior Lecturer in Music Education, Cardiff Metropolitan University

Thomas Breeze studied music at Cardiff University, gaining the MA in Performance Studies under the renowned Bach scholar and harpsichordist Peter Williams. With dual interests in teaching and performance, he studied for the PGCE and taught music in a secondary school for ten years while having a parallel career as a freelance accompanist and continuo player.
Thomas now runs the PGCE Secondary Music course at Cardiff Metropolitan University and still performs professionally, specialising in historically-informed performance. He has previously held teaching posts at Cardiff University, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Open University. His research interests in the field of pedagogy include cross-curricular learning and teaching in the expressive arts.
