Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Monash University

Thomas Chubb currently works in the School of Mathematical Science at Monash University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences General at Monash University in 2012, with the primary research topic of the effect of pollution on precipitation amounts in the Australian Snowy Mountains.

He has a B. Sc. (Advanced Mathematics) from the University of Sydney (2006) and a B.E. (Hons) (Aeronautical/Space) from the University of Sydney (2007).

Current research interests are:

1. Cloud physics and precipitation processes from aircraft observations and numerical simulations
2. Orographic precipitation and mountain meteorology
3. Remote sensing of clouds from satellite and ground-based platforms
