I am a PhD researcher in the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science at the University of Leeds. My research looks at satellite radar altimetry over the Earth’s polar ice sheets. Using satellites such as the European Space Agency’s CryoSat-2, I measure ice height and how it changes over time. The thinning of the Earth’s ice is a key indicator of climate change – using altimeters to monitor Antarctica and Greenland helps us to understand how they are responding to our warming climate.
