Tim Chown

Lecturer in the Web and Internet Science group within Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. Main research interests are Internet protocols, cyber security, wireless networks, home networks, software defined networking, and end-to-end network performance.

Co-chair of UK IPv6 Council. Co-chair of IETF dnssd WG. Programme leader for our Cyber Security MSc, and a PI for our Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR).

Currently seconded part-time to Jisc Technologies (formerly Janet), the UK national education and research network.
