Tim Dunlop is a writer, academic, and author. He has a PhD in political philosophy, and teaches at the Centre for Advancing Journalism at the University of Melbourne. He has written and broadcast extensively on US and Australian politics, the media, and the future of work. His first book, The New Front Page: New Media and the Rise of the Audience is a seminal text on the early days of the digital media revolution. It presaged changes that are still affecting the industry. His new book, Why The Future Is Workless, looks at the effects of automation on employment.
