Professor of Public Health Nutrition, University of Sydney

Tim Gill is currently Professor of Public Health Nutrition at the Boden Collaboration for Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise and Eating Disorders within the Charles Perkins Centre and Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. His research interests are in the epidemiology of obesity and improving food environments and public guidance in nutrition and the prevention of obesity and chronic disease with attention on reducing inequalities.
Prof Gill has authored several key reports on obesity for State and Federal Government departments as well as national and international agencies and has served on a number of World Health Organization expert committees on obesity and chronic disease. He has also produced many original papers and book chapters on obesity, nutrition and public health.
