Dr Tom Davis lectures in politics at the School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Melbourne, covering subjects such as Social Policy and Development and Human Rights and Global Justice. His current research focuses on the tension between development and foreign aid, social accountability and sustainable development, and human rights and development (especially in the Asia Pacific region). He has collaborates in his research with the Australian Council for International Development, Oxfam Australia, World Vision Australia, and the Nossal Institute for International Health. Recent publications include Human Rights in Asia (Edward Elgar, 2011) and ‘The Politics of Human Rights and Development’.
